Carbon Hub

Hubsphere offers Carbon Hub, a CEMS product that provides business and public sector organisations with a solution to implement carbon and cost savings programs across their organisational environments. It aims to provide stakeholders the ability to identify reduction opportunities and convert them in actual carbon and cost savings. It allows organisations to calculate their carbon footprint at site- or company-level across the following sources of emissions: energy, company-vehicles, business travel, commuting, deliveries and waste.

Carbon Hub is a web-based community-platform combined with enablement services for businesses to measure and reduce their carbon footprint and collaborate with each others on reduction opportunities.

The software offers National Atmospheric Emissions Inventory (NAEI), GHG Protocol, WBCSD/WRI 2007, National Refrigerants Reference Guide, DEFRA Guidelines to Defra's GHG Conversion Factors, DEFRA The Validity of Food Miles as an Indicator of Sustainable Development Final report, and DEFRA Guidelines for Company Reporting on Greenhouse Gas Emissions compliance.

The software is delivered as a web-based SaaS application hosted by Hubsphere and runs on Windows. It is licensed on an annual basis with standard technical support included in this subscription. Addition support is available at an additional cost and includes support by phone, email or online conferencing.

Carbon Hub features many social networking tools including blogs, knowledge bank, and networking tool. Users may follow the development of carbon emissions by creating a footprint for different periods of time, and chart the progress however it does not allow users to view data as a function of time. The Carbon Hub says it has plans to develop this data management functionality.

Hubsphere also offer an energy consumption management module called Energy Hub and a sustainability performance management module called Sustainability Hub.
