CPCP

CarbonOps offers two products –ProPlan and the CPCP solution. Carbon Registry Services CPCP solution is a web-based CEMS product that allows companies to manage their emissions portfolio by helping them track and aggregate emission data, trading activity, forward prediction and actual emissions. Its function includes emission capture, emissions trading and compliance.

Proplan is a web-based CEMS product that provides full lifecycle management of clean development (CDM and voluntary) and joint implementation (JI) projects. It provides capabilities to collate information and track portfolio value and management milestones. Any issues affecting projects can also be captured by the tool. The software allows maintaining of allocations from projects on a forward-dated basis and can highlight potential shortfalls based on under-allocation and risk scenarios. The software is provided off-the-shelf but can also be customised where required.

CarbonOps is a trading name for Carbon Registry Services Ltd. The company have been involved in the Carbon Market for 4 years and participates in Emissions Trading conferences. It works with government agencies, energy producers, project developers and clean-technology investment funds.

The software is delivered as a web-based desktop application or as a SaaS application hosted by CarbonOps. The program (server software) is Java based and can run on Windows, Linux/Unix, Solaris and Apple Mac. The application integrates using web services and XML using its own API. It can also connect to Microsoft Office and SAP. The applications are licensed on annual or monthly subscription. Standard support is 9am-5pm (GMT+1) although custom support agreements are available on a client-by-client basis. As both ProPlan and CPCP are web-based applications they require no installation or client configuration. Users can customise views, reports and configurations as needed. ProPlan is specifically focused on CDM/JI and emission reduction project risk analysis, tracking and valuation. Proplan application offers CDM/JI compliance, management and valuation. CPCP application offers EU ETS, IPPC, UKETS, UKCCA, US DOE, and NL Nox compliance. CPCP is an enterprise level product that requires integration and training programs to be implemented successfully. CPCP is currently under development to also deliver a UK CRC compliance support facility.
