ECO2Business

ECO2Region and ECO2Business are web-based CEMS products that help individuals and organisations to calculate the energy and carbon dioxide emissions used. It calculates direct energy (such as oil, gas, electricity) along with grey energy (such as goods and services) and it also allows for comparisons between individuals in other countries and regions.

Ecospeed has been offering CEMS products since 2004 and operates in Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg and the USA with the bulk of its customers in Switzerland, Germany, and Italy.

The applications cover CO2 emissions laws in Switzerland, Guidelines of Covenant of Mayer, Climate Alliance, and European Energy Award compliance. They also offer compliance to the greenhouse gases (GHG) Protocol, ISO 14064/14065, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) standards.

The software is delivered as a web-based SaaS application that runs on the major platforms and supports the MySQL database server. It is written in a Java and is licensed an annual or monthly subscription. A new software version update occurs every 2-4 months. It is available in German, French, and Italian (English and Spanish versions are planned for the future).

The applications can manage all non-GHG emissions such as water and waste, but Ecospeed plans to improve on the ability of their products to fully support supply chain and product labelling.
