EMS Portal is a web-based CEMS product that helps organisations manage greenhouse gas emissions. It has an integrated GHG Portal that includes a GHG management tool and can map asset structures for carbon dioxide indexes (including EPA's Tier 3a reporting for the semiconductor sector). It also allows organisations to lower operational compliance costs, deliver performance data for carbon trading (caps and trades), and align business processes to regulatory requirements to the ISO 14064 standard.

Vintara provides web-based process management solutions and services and is focused in helping organisations manage compliance. Founded in 1997, the company is based in Oakland, CA, USA and also has offices in Canada and Europe.

The software offers compliance to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)'s Fab manufacturing Tier 3a reporting and to the ISO 14064, ISO 18000, ISO 14000 standards.

The software is delivered as a web-based SaaS application and is hosted by Vintara. It runs on Windows and Solaris and has been written in a Java. It supports the Microsoft SQL/Server, MySQL, and Microsoft Access databases and is licensed per seat (on an annual or monthly subscription). It is available in English and new releases occur twice annually. It has the ability to integrate with Lotus, Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Standard support is available from 7:00am to 5:00pm (PST).

EMS Portal allows for an end-to-end lifecycle assessment (LCA) of Scopes 1, 2, and 3 emissions. It also allows users to track GHG emissions for semi conductor manufacturers within the foundry (on Tier 3a calculations as defined by the EPA). It also has the ability to manage non-greenhouse emissions, such as water and waste.
