Energy & Carbon Intelligence System (ECIS) is a CEMS product that helps organisations measure, manage and monitor energy consumption, all Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon emissions and other sustainability metrics such as water, waste and air quality. ECIS provides users with high levels of automated data loading, data error and exception reporting. It also provides dashboards, allows target setting, alerting and escalations, has inbuilt survey tools, document management, automated sub-meter data capture, data smoothing where data gaps exist and version controlled emission factor management.
Carbon Systems is focused on providing organisations with business intelligence to facilitate understanding of the environmental impacts of business operations. It is based in Sydney, Australia, operates within the UK, USA, and Asia, and also provides services in GHG scoping and measurement, sustainability education, carbon reduction programs, communication and change management support.
The software offers compliance to NGERS, EEO Act and NABERS compliance in Australia, Carbon Reduction Commitment compliance in the UK, and compliance to ISO 14064 and GHG Protocol standards. ECIS also offers access to audit trails for all data and calculations.
The software is delivered as a hosted web-based SaaS application. It has been written in .Net and is licensed on an annual subscription basis. Minor updates occur on a monthly release cycle and bi-annually for major updates. It is available only in English and also includes data management connectors to enable data interchange and format conversion to automate upload of data.
ECIS can be configured to directly read electricity, water and gas sub meters via GPRS and GSM communications. The CarbonSystems product road map includes more detailed scenario modelling, permit management, supply chain management and broader sustainability reporting.
