Enterprise Carbon Management Software (VELO) is a web-based CEMS product that allows organisation to measure, monitor, manage, and mitigate their carbon footprint. It links existing systems via data connectors and provides insights with benchmarking. VELO is available as a VELO Lite version for small-medium businesses (SMB) which uses data from spreadsheets.
Zerofootprint Software specialises in developing carbon management solutions that measure and manage carbon across their balance sheet and supply chain. It was incorporated in early 2008 to focus on for-profit organisations. It is operated in the Americas, UK, Europe and Australia and is based in Toronto, Canada.
The software offers compliance to GHG Protocol, CCAR, The Climate Registry, CDP, Voluntary Reporting and ISO 14064.
The software is delivered as a web-based SaaS application hosted by Zerofootprint or desktop application that runs on any platform and database server. It has been written in a combination of Java and Rails and is licensed per annual or monthly subscription. Standard support is available during business hours and it is available in English only, although a French version is expected by the end of 2009. It can integrate with SAP, DB2, Oracle, PeopleSoft, web services, and proprietary databases.
It allows organisations to simulate modelling and scenarios although ZeroFootprint plans on developing this functionality in the future. It also can measure water and waste.
