ESS GHG/Carbon Management Solution

ESS GHG/Carbon Management Solution is a web-based CEMS product that helps organisations to manage and communicate greenhouse gases (GHG) data for products, supply chain and facilities. It enables organisations by supporting data collection and reporting for a verifiable carbon emissions inventory, provides business intelligence and analysis tools, and performance metrics, tasking and communications to assist with carbon strategy development.

ESS focuses on providing local and global environmental, health & safety (EHS) and crisis management sustainability software platforms to assist organisations with their governance, risk, and compliance. ESS software aims to enable organisations to execute on initiatives for corporate sustainability, environmental stewardship, health and safety, and greenhouse gas emissions management.

The software offers CPRS – NGERS, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), National Pollutant Inventory (NPI), National Pollution Release Inventory (NPRI), and ISO 14000 series standards compliance.

The software is delivered as a web-based SaaS application hosted by ESS and runs on Windows. It is written in .Net and database servers supported include Microsoft SQL/Server. The software is licensed on a per package basis, where such packages are, the emissions and energy accounting, performance reporting, and compliance and verification package.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) can be set to help measure EHS performance at the organisation or enterprise-wide level with alerts and notifications enabled based on KPI values. User-defined content is presented through dashboards and scorecards.
