GEMS

Global Emissions Management Solutions (GEMS) a hosted CEMS solution that helps organisations to manage and report on its emissions, costs, resource consumption, productivity and performance, carbon liabilities, abatement and offsets. It includes features such as an electronic data import, integration and verification functionality, cost and rate analysis tools, business and operational analysis tools and customised reports. A server based solution is also available.

GEMS is an eco-accounting and reporting company that focuses on providing a business intelligence system to manage and report on carbon emissions, identify emissions reduction opportunities, and improve business performance and productivity. GEMS also provide verification and auditing, gap and system analysis, carbon accounting and management training, services and advice.

The software offers compliance with NGERS, the Energy Efficiency Opportunities (EEO) Act, Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme (CPRS) Act, and US EPA scheme compliance and compliance to ISO 14000 series, and Greenhouse Gas Protocol - International Energy and Greenhouse gas reporting standards.

The software is delivered as a web-based SaaS application and is hosted by GEMS, and has been written in .Net and runs on SQL/and other major database servers. It is licensed on a per point (account, meter, sensor, input) basis on an annual or monthly subscription and is a standalone system with the ability to integrate data from and with other systems including smart metering systems, process control, building management, accounting and ERP systems. Standard support is offered during business hours (AWST).

Invoices and data can be individually verified with by GEMS’s tariffs and rate analysis function and reporting tools which can be used to check and identify any cost, consumption and rate anomalies in the system. It can be used to manage any resources and materials costs, inputs and outputs.
