GreenBizCheck environmental certification

GreenBizCheck is a web-based CEMS product that helps organisations to implement sustainable environmental practices to save money, conserve energy, water and resources and minimise waste. Organisations are provided with an on-line assessment and report for current and proposed eco-actions. The assessment incorporate the following sections: energy conservation, water consumption reduction, waste reduction, transportation and travel, supply chain sustainability, general environmental issues and voluntary carbon compensation programs.

GreenBizCheck focuses on providing a global technology-based environmental certification program primarily for the services industry sector and operates in Australia, New Zealand, and the USA.

The software is delivered as a web based application that runs on Windows, Linux/Unix, Solaris, Apple Mac, or zOS (IBM mainframe). It has been written in a combination of Java and .Net and database servers supported include Microsoft SQL/Server and MySQL. The software is licensed on a per seat basis and support turnaround response time is within 24 hours. It is available only in English, with versions in major European and Asian languages planned in the future.

GreenBizCheck is able to manage non-greenhouse emissions such as water, waste, and recycling, but the product is not particularly suited to heavy manufacturing or mining operations.
