IHS opsInfo and ecoAsset Manager

IHS offers two products – opsInfo and ecoAsset Manager. opsInfo is a web-based CEMS product that helps organisations manage and report on direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions.

It provides granularity at the facility level and the enterprise capabilities at the corporate level, and supports non-greenhouse emissions. opsInfo is comprised of opsAir, opsCompliance, opsGHG, opsIncident, opsInventory, opsMetrics, opsWaste and opsWater modules. ecoAsset Manager helps organisations to plan for, execute, and monitor emissions levels, market transactions, compliance activities, and the business processes that underlie emissions trading programs.

IHS focuses on providing enterprise sustainability management software solutions to help companies with their environmental, health and safety and compliance management problems. IHS operates globally and has a physical presence in more than 35 countries. IHS software offers EU ETS, CDM greenhouse gas credits, US Acid Rain Program SO2 allowances, Clean Air Interstate Rule (CAIR), US NOx Budget Program NOx allowances, RGGI, Australia Greenhouse Gas Challenge Program, New South Wales Greenhouse Gas Abatement Scheme, Western Climate Initiative (WCI), US California Global Warming Act (AB32), compliance. It also offers compliance to ISO 14001, Canada’s National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI) certification reports standards.

The software is delivered as a web-based SaaS application and is hosted at IHS. It is licensed per facility and is available in English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, and Bulgarian, however, the configuration manager interface is only available in English. It can be integrated with other systems including SAP, JDEdwards, and Maximo.

opsInfo supports imports for offline data entry and synchronization with each import and handheld devices can be configured to work with the system. IHS is looking to improve the installation process for new releases to reduce customer costs and adoption times.
