Risk Shield

PicNet (Risk Shield) is a web-based CEMS product that helps organisations to account for the amount of carbon dioxide emitted and the risks associated with it. From these calculations, organisations are able to more effectively mitigate the risks of polluting the environment, penalties from the regulator, and impact on the organisation’s reputation.

Risk Shield focuses on providing enterprise risk management software solutions that allows corporations to manage risk and compliance requirements. Risk Shield is owned by PicNet Pty Ltd and was launched in 2003.

It offers compliance to the COSO ERM framework and AS/NZS 4360 standard.

The software is delivered as a web-based SaaS application hosted by Risk Shield or hosted internally by an organisation. The program runs on Windows and is written in .Net. It is available in English and is licensed per month subscription. It is supported by the Microsoft SQL/Server database server.

The emissions management (carbon risk management) module is available on a mobile pocket (Windows Mobile 5) PDA. Data is updatable via email or computer terminal, and dashboard functionality is available for users.
